Jarrett McKean - Owner

A certified Journeyman/B-pressure with 25 years of experience that started in a shop environment and progressed to facility and pipeline construction in the field. With a fabrication background, he has since become a level 1 weld inspector with CWB W59/47.1 certification.

In 2009, Jarrett joined Jeremy in the start-up and partnership of Vise Energy Services Ltd. Since then, he has taken a leading role in the field and shop management, contract review, scheduling and procurement of all projects Vise Energy Services is a part of.

Jarrett continues to use his extensive field experience and overall knowledge of the oilfield industry to make Vise Energy Services Ltd. one of the most innovative companies in the Oil and Gas Industry while ensuring that quality of work and safety are at the forefront of what Vise Energy Services stands for.

Jeremy Rearden - Owner

As Co-Founder of Vise Energy Services Ltd., Jeremy brings more than 30 years of experience in the Canadian energy industry. After beginning his career in the field, he developed a strong technical and operational foundation, earning his Red Seal Steam and Gas Fitter II certification and CWB W47.1 Welding Supervision Certification. In 2009, Jeremy partnered with Jarrett McKean to establish Vise Energy Services Ltd. with a clear vision: to build a reliable, accountable, and technically strong construction company capable of supporting complex energy infrastructure projects across Western Canada.

As a senior manager, Jeremy provides strategic oversight of field and shop operations while sharing responsibility for contract development and review, business development, project planning, and procurement. His leadership helps ensure operational execution aligns with the company’s long-term objectives, safety standards, and client commitments.

Jeremy takes a long-term approach to both projects and partnerships, with a focus on consistency, quality, and accountability. Under the company’s leadership, Vise Energy Services Ltd. continues to grow as a trusted fabrication, facility, and pipeline construction partner recognized for delivering dependable results and maintaining high standards across Western Canada.

Mike Tubbs - VP Business Development

Mike Tubbs brings over three decades of hands-on industry experience and a deep-rooted commitment to client relationships in his role as Vice President of Business Development at Vise Energy Services. Raised in Central Alberta in a large, close-knit family, Mike developed a strong work ethic early on—something that continues to define his approach to business today.

Mike began his career in pipelining in 1993, working across Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan. A Red Seal welder by trade, he spent 20 years successfully operating his own welding company, gaining firsthand knowledge of field execution, project demands, and the importance of quality workmanship. This technical foundation remains a key asset in his ability to understand client needs and deliver practical, results-driven solutions.

Over the past 14 years, Mike has focused on business development and sales, where he has built a reputation for strong communication, reliability, and a genuine commitment to long-term partnerships. Since joining Vise Energy Services in the spring of 2023, he has been actively involved in all aspects of project development, working closely with clients and internal teams to ensure successful outcomes. Mike firmly believes in the value of repeat business and takes pride in maintaining lifelong relationships built on honesty and integrity.

Outside of work, Mike is a dedicated family man and proud father of three boys. He is deeply involved in his community, volunteering his time coaching hockey and baseball. In his downtime, he enjoys golfing and is a loyal fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Jason Kailer - QC Manager

Jason brings more than 30 years of experience in quality control, welding, fabrication, machining, and leadership. Beginning his career in machining before transitioning into welding and fabrication, Jason earned his BC Red Seal Welder Level “A” certification and steel fitter fabrication certification, building a strong foundation across multiple skilled trades.

Throughout his career, Jason has worked in fabrication shops, sawmills, pulp and paper mills, pipeline projects, facility construction, and mining equipment repair, holding both supervisory and hands-on roles. As the owner and operator of his own mobile welding company, he gained extensive field experience working on maintenance projects, pipeline construction, and industrial repairs.

Passionate about quality assurance and continuous improvement, Jason further expanded his expertise by earning his CWB 178.2 Level 1 and Level 2 certifications, Welding Supervisor certification endorsed to CSA W47.1 and W59.1 standards, and BSI Internal Auditor ISO 9001:2008 certification. He is currently pursuing his CWB 178.2 Level 3 certification. Jason’s extensive industry knowledge, technical expertise, and commitment to excellence make him a valued leader and an integral part of the Vise Energy Services team.

Kyle Drouin - Project Manager

With over 25 years of specialized experience in the oil and gas sector, Kyle is a Project Manager recognized for his technical command of industrial construction, pipeline fabrication, and facility services. Currently a Project Manager at Vise Energy Services Ltd. in Blackfalds, Alberta, he manages the end-to-end execution of complex infrastructure developments, ensuring high-consequence projects are delivered with precision and safety.

Kyle’s career is defined by a deep technical fluency in shop fabrication, pipeline services, and shutdowns. His background includes nearly fifteen years as a Project Manager, during which he honed his expertise in coordinating multi-disciplinary teams for large-scale energy projects. He has also served in critical leadership capacities at major industrial sites, including tenures as Site Manager and Turnaround Manager in the oil sands, where he was responsible for the meticulous planning and execution of facility shutdowns and estimating.

From his early years as a Foreman and Site Superintendent for both greenfield and brownfield projects, Kyle developed an "on-the-tools" perspective that remains a core asset in his management style today. This unique combination of field-level operational knowledge and high-level strategic planning allows him to bridge the gap between complex engineering specifications and practical site execution. Based in Central Alberta, Kyle is committed to advancing the region’s energy infrastructure through a relentless focus on quality control, resource optimization, and the safe delivery of facility and pipeline solutions.

Beyond his professional portfolio, Kyle is a dedicated leader in the Blackfalds community. He currently serves as the President of the Blackfalds Minor Hockey Association and contributes his time as an assistant coach for the U18-A team, applying the same principles of leadership and teamwork to local athletics as he does to the energy sector.

Curtis Sharpe - Project Manager

Curtis brings over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a strong background in both pipeline and facility construction. He spent the first 15 years of his career working in the field, gaining practical, hands-on construction knowledge before transitioning into management, where he has spent the past decade leading teams and operations.

Curtis holds a Petroleum Engineering Technology diploma and an Operations Management Certificate, combining technical education with extensive field and leadership experience.

He joined Vise Energy Services in the spring of 2023 as a Project Manager and is involved in all stages of projects—from estimation through execution and completion. In his role, Curtis helps set the strategic direction for operations while supporting both day-to-day activities and long-term planning.

Throughout his career, Curtis has maintained a strong focus on quality and safety, ensuring client expectations are consistently met or exceeded. He has led operations, managed budgets and financial reporting, and overseen scheduling, estimating, procurement, and KPI tracking to keep projects running efficiently and successfully. Curtis is known for building strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. His communication skills, problem-solving ability, and adaptability allow him to navigate changing priorities with confidence. He is also passionate about mentoring and coaching team members, helping them grow and perform at their best. Curtis is committed to delivering operational excellence, promoting a strong safety culture, and achieving complete customer satisfaction on every project he supports.

Trisha Littlechilds - HSE/HR Manager

With more than 25 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environment, Trisha brings a deep, cross-industry understanding of safety leadership and organizational support. She began her career with a commercial plumbing and heating company and went on to build extensive expertise across road construction, engineering, building construction, oilfield construction/maintenance, and pipeline operations. Her background includes managing a Canada-wide Radiation Safety program for a major engineering firm, field safety operations and in office safety operations further strengthening her technical and regulatory knowledge.

Trisha joined Vise Energy Services in June 2023 initially serving as a Field Advisor. Through her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex information in a clear and engaging way, she then advanced into the HSE Manager role and has since expanded her responsibilities to include HR Management. Her commitment to training, continuous improvement, and team development makes her an invaluable asset to the organization.
